I don't think that people downloading the show is hurting it right now, since the English DVDs aren't out (and we don't have a release date, so it's more of an if they'll come out, not when). If anything, the downloads are promoting the show, letting people who wouldn't normally be able to watch it get access to it.
Look at Doctor Who. Plenty of people download that, and it's still going strong.

I find Siward's argument pretty hypocritical. It's okay to record the episodes and put them on DVD or computer but it's not okay to download them? They're all illegal copies no matter whether you recorded them or downloaded them.

Exactly. But of course s/he didn't even acknowledge that when I brought it up. And why should French people, who actually have access to a DVD, need to do that, when, according to hir, those of us who can't get an English DVD should sit on our hands and wait?

See, it's people like that that make me not want to actively participate in fandoms.

They're playing that show on a Canadian station regularly, and in order (as far as I can tell). Hopefully that means the episodes will be out on dvd soon in North America...

P.S. I think my favorite line by the crazy person was that they were going to ask "production" when the english dvd was going to be released! Because they're involved with the making of the show.

The 'Crazy Person' (XD *likes that*) Started the first Skyland website, which I think the Producers have sort of allowed to become semi-official. I think they sent hirm some stuff to use and that, but if you ask me, CP's opinion of hir own importance is a bit over-inflated. <<;

I agree. Just because someone vaguely important to the show gave them permission to not be shut down doesn't make the producers and the crazy person the bestest of friends now or anything like that at all.

And I'm glad you liked it XD I try to give everyone who's name I don't know an appropriate title. ;P
