Random Tidbits from the last week or so:

So, I met Anne Bishop, author of my beloved Black Jewels series. Found a neat article in the days leading up to it that I thought gave a really insightful review of the books. Also, she was delightful and friendly, as was Carlos Ruiz Zafón and Jacqueline Carey, as per usual. I am working my way through ( Read more... )

and pish posh lady, i have never noticed you having anything but an absolutely fabulous smile :) and i couldnt agree more with your answer to favorite dessert... rich and decadent, totally my weaknesses. especially cheesecake <3

No, I am the current president of Sigma Alpha Iota's Seattle Alumnae chapter, and this is our National Convention that's held every 3 years (rotates cities, this year is Chicago). So I am the voting delegate for the chapter.

I am undecided whether I am looking forward to it or not...

well, if you need distractions, i had a pretty good tour de Chi-town a few years ago (from what i can recall, lol) and i know plenty of fun spots.

Definitely! I have about a day (until 6pm) to be touristy all over Chicagoland, so I need to know my MUST-SEE's. You know, the equivalent of asking lj-seattle "Hey, I'm going to be in your city for like a day and a half! What can I see?" kind of thing. I've done some research on Chicago, but not being totally familiar with the layout, I'm not sure...
