My favourite minor character is definitely Cafall! I've always loved dogs (and most other animals, really), and have had my own "special" dog, an Alaskan Malamute named Nicki, who was my best friend much the way Cafall was Bran's. And I've always loved the idea of a dog who could "see the wind," as well.

John Rowlands, Stephen Stanton, Paul Stanton, Miss Greythorne, Hawkin, and the Lady are amongst my favourite of the human minor characters, for reasons that I can't always put into words, though you've done a pretty good job regarding my feelings about John and Stephen. I'll have to keep trying to fit words to the others!

(Oh, and thanks for posting this--it's an interesting question, and I look forward to what anyone else wants to contribute!)

Cafall should've got an honourable mention from me, too. He's awesome.

Paul Stanton's another of my favourites. A lot of the minor characters are so brilliantly written, though, it's so hard to choose! Stephen and Paul are like the brothers everyone wants (but few people have).

Oh, I definitely agree! Susan Cooper did a wonderful job with the minor characters, just as she did with the major ones.

I'd say John, too. I have a bit of a weakness for the unsung heroes, the guys that give up so much for the side of good but get forgootten about because their sacrifices are more subtle than the flashy Hero's fight against the side of evil.

After all, Obi-Wan Kenobi is my favorite Star Wars character, LOL.

My favorite minor character is the Rider. He's just so hot.
