Discussion - Favourite minor character
In an effort to wake the members of this community up, I'm going to be making a couple of posts over the next few days! First, though, a discussion.
Who is your favourite minor character, and why? For simplicity's sake, the main characters are the Six, and anyone else is fair game as a minor character.
Personally, John Rowlands and Stephen Stanton tie. They're both so good and human and believable. I totally want Stephen as my own brother. The way Stephen's relationship with his youngest brother is handled is lovely, and the way Stephen is protective of Will and also made so angry by racism... he's an amazing character. But not perfect: he can't be a part of Will's world, really, he can't handle it. And John Rowlands... I hurt so bad for him in the last bit of Silver On The Tree, and yet when he could be bitter and do the wrong thing for his own sake, he doesn't. The part where John holds the sign up for Bran is so perfect.
I'm also extremely fond of Owen, flawed as he is. He does his best, and he does love Bran.
