I've decided it's time for a change. My entires have become so tedious that I almost fall asleep whilst writing them, so god knows why anyone would want to read them ( Read more... )

To start with, everyone seems to be drooling over leopard print. I really only have one word to sum up this trend: WHY???

The only way I've been able to explain this, is that some people actually *want* to look like hookers.

Similarly, at the moment there seems to be a fashion for baby doll dresses and smock tops. They make you look like you are wearing a SACK!

You are so right, I have never seen anything more unflattering to a womans figure than one of those sack dresses. I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't an attempt by designers to disguise the fact that their models are hiddeously underweight.

skinny jeans... noooooooooooooooooo!

the granny jumpers arent too bad though, at least they keep you warm, and SOME of them are vaguely flattering at least (I dont own any though, because I look hideous in almost all knitwear :-P)

what's your opinion on footless tights? I keep trying on skirts that I could only ever get away with wearing if I wore something very thick underneath them, and all my lovely girly flat plimsoll shoes look a bit weird with normal tights I cannot walk in heels of any description, although I would like to learn at some point). But then, I'm very short so I wonder whether they'll just look weird on me. urgh. again with maybe needing to invest in some heels.

I need a shopping spree really but I dont have time, and when I do shop, I can NEVER find anything I like, or if I do, I dont buy it because I dont have anything to go with it... we have an ENORMOUS new primark though, so I really should go there at some point... hmmm...

Ah, fashion, schmashion. Indeed, fascion. Is there really any point (outside, say, a corporate dress code or evening wear, but even there...) in wearing something other than what flatters *you* and what *you* feel comfortable in?

Then again, I am so totally the style guru, yeah.

BTW, pity you've already run off home, would've been nice to sing with you again.

Yeah I know, it seems stupid to wear something that makes you look ugly, just because it's 'cool'...

Aw I really wanted to do the carol singing, it sucks that I'm at home! Maybe next year...hehe. I hear you made loads of money, am v.impressed!

Hahahahaha! I could have written all of that. Skinny jeans are a particular nightmare for sporty girls - I can't even get them past my calves! I did try on an absolutely fabulous pair once, but they were Diesel and came with a price tag of £110. Have since compromised with drainpipes...

- Smock tops and leggins is SO scouse! Seriously, you can spot a scouse girl a mile off by the fashion and orange tan.

- Leopard print... I like in moderation. I just so happen to be wearing a leopard print hair band which compliments my new hair colour. And I do have a pair of print tights that I wear with a black dress and black shoes.

- Skinny jeans... I only ever wear mine with tops/jumpers that cover my bum, because otherwise it's just wrong and makes my thighs look huge when (not blowing my own trumpet but...) I actually have un-fat thighs.
Skinny jeans on boys on the other hand is PLAIN WRONG.

If I wear something that is *in fashion* it's not because it's *in fashion* it's because I like it, and I'm comfortable in it... And, for instance, I don't always care whether it makes me boobs disappear if I think it'll go with the trousers I'm wearing that make my legs look long?

And I am a devoted reader of Vogue, but it doesn't mean I'll wear what they tell me purely because it's *fashion ( ... )
