I'm not good about leaving comments regularly, but I absolutely. Love. This. Fic.

I think I lost count of all the times it's made my stomach do those happy tingly flips (oh god how I love those happy tingly flips...it's like my torso is SQUEE-ing!). I love the story, I love the characterizations, I love the Sam whumpings (not-so-guilty pleasure), and, well, everything.

And the Sam/Gene relationship is a big clincher for me. I'll read slash for the lulz, but really, I have a massive weakness for platonic, fraternal, and paternal male relationships. (And Sam's woobie-ness, but apparently that's a freaking epidemic.) Yeah, so basically you've succeeded in turning me into a puddle of goo throughout the whole story. Kudos to you.

And just to get on the subject of this chapter: He was out for two days?! What about the psych evaluation?! O NOES!

Thank you so much! Oh I know the torso squee-ing feeling very well. I have the same feeling about the Sam/Gene relationship (if it wasn't obvious in my story.) Do enjoy the slash, but the pure platonic male-bonding friendship stuff just really gets me.

Is it bad that I think Gene's "pain in the arse" cabinet is cannon, and that it was the one Sam was shifting through in 2.8? But Gene saying "1973" like that... How much DID Sam let slip? You really do have a certain genius with cliffhangers, you know...

Great chapter, and I love the banter between Sam and Gene, it's perfect.

Thank you! I think Gene would have to have two pain in the arse cabinets. One for the general staff and one for Sam all his own.
