i loved this, only Sam would go to an abandoned warehouse at four in the morning for a notebook. And only Gene would immediately know something was wrong.

Everyone was in character and believable so well done. :) can i read between the lines and see a bit of gene/sam there too. ;)

This was beautiful! I like how concerned Gene is for Sam - they both are so in character. And how they talk to each other always make me laugh.
You are such a good write! I remember the first LOM fanfic I read was your "Coffin for Sam" - it was a great intoduction into the LOM fandom. =]

Oh, great stuff! There's just so much in here worthy of comment, but I think I especially liked the way Sam only fell asleep when Gene told him he'd be all right. The whole scene in the wreckage was excellent, too, so much really good graphic detail, and the chat between Sam and Gene is perfect all the way through. Lovely!
