Damn. It's been forever since I've updated. I feel like a horrible person, because every time I think of something worth posting, I keep it to myself. I guess that's partly because of who I am, and partly because I'm too lazy and I can always find other ways to spend my time when I have it. I've never really been the type of person who talks about ( Read more... )

For some reason, I can't get Jim Morrison out of my head. He once said that he wanted to die painfully, with feeling. Even going down in flames on an airplane would have been an acceptable death for him. I really do admire the crazy bastard. But then again, he ended up dying in a bathtub from an overdose...

Still, I heart the Doors. And what was I talking about?

I can certainly understand the sentiments driving your decision to become vegan. I've seen the conditions in which farm animals have to live... It's deplorable. Killing an animal and eating it for sustenance is something that doesn't really bother me, but seeing those animals live in crowded, unhealthy conditions and then killed en masse leaves me queasy. Ignoring the fact that eating animals that are raised and fed in such disgusting environments cannot possibly be good for us, it really is quite depressing.

And my school really does have the best vegan blueberry muffins ever.

Whee for updates!

Because LJ is junk for the mind. ;)

Weird, because I love eating things like candy and chips while reading LJ. But then again, I also like to eat salad while reading LJ.

Hmmmm. What does that say about salad? Maybe not as good for you as people think. Or maybe candy is not so bad.

Chocolate should be good for you. It comes from a bean, after all. :)

Good thinking. Sugar comes from a beat -- and everyone knows beats are high in stuff that is good for you.

I just realized something that is very concerning. I just noticed that the ads on this thread are for vegetarian things, and the discussion has been about vegetarianism. Is LJ somehow scanning the texts for key words and matching the ads to the topic of conversation? And if this is the case, it strikes me as a little scary.

It might be. But maybe Martini has 'vegetarianism' in her interests.

Nope. No vegetarianism on Martini's interests list. I am very suspicious.

It could be that it scans the text. But I'm too lazy to go look and see what LJ has to say about it.

I am so tired tonigh. My daughter is supposed to do a report on an heirloom (we don't HAVE any heirlooms) but I couldn't face doing it tonight so wrote her a note she can give to her teacher so that she is excused until Monday. Now I can go back to veging out (how do you spell veging?)

'Vegging', I would imagine.

That doesn't make sense though -- because the double g should produce a hard g sound.

But 'veging' just doesn't look right! /whine
