As a fair bit of warning I'm not completely awake nor emotionally sound at the moment so this may come off as a bit disjointed.

Well, Winehouse did go to rehab several times and I believe she had been there not long before her death. And as someone with family who's been through serious addiction, it's not always so easy just to check in and get help and have it work out whether you want it to or not.

That said, I agree overall. I don't think she ever wanted it and she was in bad shape for so long everyone knew they were going to hear the news of her passing some day. I'm honestly surprised it didn't come sooner than it did.
