Merry Christmas, dearie! It sounds as if you had a lovely night, last night. I haven't watched either of those two movies in ages, so now I'll have to put them on my list. :-) I quite agree with you re the Cecil Beaton costumes. He really knew what he was doing, didn't he? I may have to add My Fair Lady to the list now. This evening we watched Miracle on 34th Street, as is Christmas Eve tradition.

Everyone else has gone to bed. Now I get to put Christmas breakfast together, hang the stockings, and then, put out all of the lights except for the tree. I'll spend some time admiring it before I hit the hay, too. Then, tomorrow, after present opening, I intend to do *nothing* all day but read - and I'll start with your Three True Things . . . rec.

I hope your day tomorrow is equally lovely and that the rest of 2012 is as mild as milk to you. :-)

Oh thank you, dear! For some reason LJ didn't send me notification of your post * shakes fist at LJ *

YOUR Christmas sounds like it's going along swimmingly. Yay! Miracle on 34th Street is a classic = so again yay! Oh and if you'd like more Cecil Beaton-ness, check out Gigi. Apparently he also influenced the production design on that gloriously cynical and magical little film. ( I got the DVD so that's how I know, lol ).

And I'd love it if you read Three True Things and I hope you enjoy it!
