In light of all the enthusiastic CC-sewing-related posts that have been appearing as the Big Event draws near, I feel the need to take a moment, for my own sake, and issue a statement of my goals as far as Costume College is concerned, just to keep things in perspective ( Read more... )

Have no fear, most of the people stressing are just those planning on wearing costume everyday and are not really that interested in the classes. They just need a place to wear costume. I'm going to a couple "events" while there that I want to have something to wear. But a lot of times I just wear my comfortable Hawaiian shirts. You're right, classes are not the place to wear costume.
I'm just in my normal stress level at not having my Gala dress done yet, and have to go out of town. And I seem to get a lot done while in this stress cycle so it helps in the future with needing things done.

It seems eminently sensible to wear comfortable clothes for the making-things parts of CC, even if you weren't pressed for time. And I envy you the clothes-watching at the dress up events! At least I have Comic-Con to look forward to!
