Ironing is evil. It must destroyed and the fashion police must learn that wrinkled does not mean slovenly and dirty. All formal wear must be declared fashionable wrinkled, esp. formal wear for the caterers ( Read more... )

I agree. Ironing is evil. As often as I can, I wear clothes that can be unwrinkled by tossing them in the dryer.

But several years ago, I worked as a waitress in this restaurant where we had to iron our shirts and aprons with heavy starch. One day I overdid it with the starch and my apron was so stiff that when I pulled it up to straighten my shirt and tie, it stayed up in the air all by itself. Amusing to see, but kinda scary, too.
