That's insane. Just heard on ABC that in North Carolina there were more early votes from black voters in 2008 than in all of 2004.

There were more black early voters in 2008 than total black voters (early and on election day) in 2004.

Looks like the majority black counties in GA are not reporting yet. I hope they wait for quite a while and get more precincts in before calling GA.

Of course FOX is calling it... that's how they convinced people they'd won Florida in 2000, by just saying so.

Eh, Fox. Pffft. DeKalb, Fulton, and Clayton counties are not reporting yet as far as I know.
Probably because people are still in line; maybe because there are a lot of black voters there, too :-P

51% to 48%, as of a few minutes ago. But only 2% reporting. Perhaps they started with Austin first?

Either way, it's exciting!

Ah, well, that would explain it. It's still good.

Yeah, I'm not surprised. But I still won't take Fox's word. ;)

I'd wait until more from the metro area is counted in. GA may very well still go for McCain, however.

Atlanta tends to go blue, and has millions of people, don't discount until that area is counted...

DKos now reporting 175-37, Obama.

*nods* And McCain wins Michigan?

anne_jumps November 5 2008, 02:22:45 UTC
Well, on DKos they've got Michigan as red, but there's a checkmark next to Obama on the pop-up. Somebody's confused about something somewhere, lol.

Maybe they know something we don't about which precincts haven't reported?
