Sorry, this came out hours ago but I was in the middle of an epic Torchwood marathon and totally not checking news sites.

Virginia congressman Tom Davis (R, District 11) is retiring. On the one hand I'm like "good riddance" but on the other hand, he was really great in trying to get voting rights for DC, so I'll miss him for that

I am dancing for joy, because Davis was no moderate and his votes for DC voting rights always came with unfairly handing Utah another vote too. Good riddance is the correct response.

This is great news because it erases the incumbent advantage in the election, and makes the 11th a likely Democratic pickup.

I am a huge Leslie Byrne fan, this will be fun.
