Sorry, this came out hours ago but I was in the middle of an epic Torchwood marathon and totally not checking news sites.
Virginia congressman Tom Davis (R, District 11) is retiring. On the one hand I'm like "good riddance" but on the other hand, he was really great in trying to get voting rights for DC, so I'll miss him for that.
This is a big deal because while Tom Davis himself is still popular in the 11th district, it's trending Democratic and this could easily become a pickup for us.
I'm hoping Gerry Connolly goes for this seat. I'd really like to see him as a congressman.
