Juan Cole has a great little tirade on the Bush administration today, in which demonstrates how divorced from reality Bush's "IslamistIslamic Fascist" rhetoric is.

Nor is it plausible that "al-Qaeda" could take over Iraq! The United States couldn't take over Iraq.

The Hazma case has been personally upsetting to me, because that could be my family. If, of course, we were Iraqi. The kids are the exact ages of my own.

My over-creative mind can foresee a time when US Marines kick in OUR door and do the same because we're a bunch of damned liberals and queers.

I hope those soldiers get everything that's coming to them.

I try not to entertain those thoughts. They're the ones that lead me to entertain thoughts of keeping guns. ;p

And despite my usual opposition to the death penalty, I see it as appropriate in this case.
