You know, I actually get along with social conservatives better than many liberals. They might be deluded and think I'm going to hell for my sinful lifestyle, but in general? Most of them honestly care about their fellow man and believe they're doing the right thing.

My conservative acquaintances are sweet but if they really honestly cared about their fellow people, they wouldn't keep trying to jam them into roles that THEY find acceptable and tolerable. The conservatives tell themselves they "mean well". They keep telling me they care, but I want to know how they can mean well towards me or care about me when they want to control everything I do? I've had enough of their refusal to look hard at themselves and their rabid fears of anything they do not understand

Really important to remember. As a Christian and and Progressive Democrat living behind the Orange Curtain in CA, I just want to state for the record that George Bush does not stand for anything I believe in. I am not even sure what God he worships, but I am pretty certain that it isn't the same one that I believe in.

It makes me crazy, because if you are a Christian, it is assumed you are conservative. That isn't always the case. You can have a strong faith in Jesus Christ and still believe that Bush is as evil as it gets for this country.
