ww1614 mentioned how Bill O'Reilly had insulted Sen. Boxer & then denied doing so when a columnist called him on it. That's nothing new, because O'Reilly insults everyone, but this time one of his guests actually had the balls to confront him about it.

I looked up the columnist in question, Sylvester Brown. His reaction to O'Reilly's apology?

Actually, reporters and columnists for local papers are generally pretty responsive, as long as you're not part of some e-mail campaign. If you politely e-mail them about some random column that they're not getting spammed over, you'll likely get a real response.

Maybe it's because I've been writing to the big papers like USA Today & WaPo, and they just get way too much mail or something.

Although, I did email one WaPo reporter over something non-political (I was asking about the Children's Hospital drive) and he got back to me within minutes.

Also, my Senator's staff sends me a nifty form letter everytime I email him about how much he sucks. That's always nice.
