Larry LaPrise, the man who wrote The Hokey Pokey, died in his home in Idaho a couple of weeks ago. He was aged 83.

He died in 1996 and you've just been sucked in to a hoax! Did the rest of the email go on to say something about them putting the left leg in the coffin or something? haha

even if he died in 1996 that's more recent than i thought. for some reason i figured that song was hundreds of years old.
