The power that Farscape has that transcends "oh come on" plot twists, that transcends the amount of dialog it requires to move a show, is that the people were real. They didn't get along. They grew to respect each other over time. I'm still not sure what to make of Scorpius, but he fascinates me.

I don't care who they kill off from atlantis. He falls. Ok, bring in the next guy...

character driven is much better.

well I have to admit that when I first showed an episode to nova_sonya she saw Ben Browder run up the hallway in leather pants she said, "Hey, who's the hottie..."

To which the correct response is, of course, "Which one, Ben Browder or Claudia Black?"

The delectable Ms Black will apparently have a guest role on Stargate later this season. I'm hoping it involves her, Amanda Tapping and a large vat of Jello, but I suspect my luck is out.

Remember the scene where James Spader's character comes in to find that they've been working on translating this hieroglyphic inscription, and they're stumped, and he glances at it and sight-translates it in 30 seconds?

That's why *I* annoy my colleagues too. ;-)

I somehow managed to miss the entire season 7 of Stargate, and since I know the start of the new series has some spoilors from season 7, I will not watch it, nor will I watch season 8, until I can buy season 7 in Nov (when it is due to be shipped ( ... )

I don't have cable, haven't seen Atlantis yet, but the thing I loved about Stargate (the series) was the teamwork. They could count on each other, they respected each other despite differences of opinions, they had running jokes with each other.
