You've beautifully put into words why I can never abandon ye olde LJ. I like this longer, and more private, medium better. And for me anyway, the fact that I have no blood relations on LJ adds to its appeal. I can be more myself here.

Welcome back! I've been wondering how you have been doing. I just recently came back to LJ myself, and totally get what you have said so eloquently here.

I lagged here in such a big way. My desktop (and life) imploded, and just lost heart for writing anything at all. FB is easy, and immediate. I hate it as much as I use it. I had to get a second account to keep my family separate from the rest of all of my mama friends, my burning man friends, and others. I sort of hate that it's that way, but it feel somewhat safer.

I see it's been a few years since you have written here to. To all things, change.
