Insurance Nightmare

For the last four months I've been in the midst of an irritating hassle with car insurance. It started in September, when I went to go make my monthly payment online as usual. The website wouldn't allow me to do so however, and after calling up I found out that my policy had been terminated! Apparently the agency I went through decided to stop ( Read more... )

Damn, they did end up screwing you :(. Progressive and Geico are both good calls depending on which is cheaper and giving you the exact coverage you need. Like TonyRingTail said, avoid an agency or any other middle man at all costs. They are focused on making a profit on your purchase, not on getting you the best possible price. Car insurance is not complicated enough to need a 3rd party agent to help you purchase one. Well maybe for some it is but you are more than capable of doing it on your own. Good luck my furiend! :)

Geico is usually no-go. Very expensive. I've had great success with Allstate. Even with their premium package and such, I am paying about 40% of what I was with Progressive.

You have my sympathies man. I dislike agents as well. I was with Amica, through an agent, and didn't understand the difference until the ass switched from Amica to some local Firefighters insurance without giving any warning. I dropped him and went directly to USAA.
