Prompt claims post

Mar 08, 2008 07:24

You may now claim a prompt for lgbtfest. Please read the instructions below!

To claim a prompt, comment here using the template below (copy and paste it directly into your comment):

Prompt 1:
First choice of posting date:
Second choice of posting date:
Third choice of posting date:

Prompt 2: (if claiming two prompts)
First choice of posting date:
Second choice of posting date:
Third choice of posting date:

Each prompt may be claimed twice, but we strongly encourage you to choose a prompt that's not yet claimed. Please check visible comments as well as the prompt list to make sure a prompt has not already been claimed twice.

When you claim each prompt, list your top three choices of posting dates from April 10 to May 24. At this time, we are letting five people sign up for each date. Please check visible comments as well as the calendar to make sure a date is not already full.

ETA: Because we are nearly out of posting dates in the original posting period, you may now sign up for posting dates May 11-May 17.

ETA 2: You may now sign up for posting dates May 18-May 24, as well as any available earlier dates.

FAQ

How do I find out my assigned posting date?

Please check the calendar for your assigned posting date. We'll contact you if none of the dates you requested are available (or if the prompt you requested isn't available).

Why can't I see some of the comments to this post?

Your comment will be screened as soon as your claims are added to the claims list and calendar, to make it easier to see claims we haven't yet had a chance to add.

What happens if you run out of posting dates?

We'll add more dates if we need to, or let more people sign up for the existing dates. We'll make sure everyone who signs up by March 15 gets a posting date. However, if you wait until March 15 to sign up, your choices of dates may be very limited.

I submitted prompts that aren't on the list!

We're sorry! Your prompts may have been incorrectly formatted or missing information, or maybe we just made a mistake. In either case, we aren't adding additional prompts at this point.

How long do stories need to be?

The minimum length for stories is 1000 words. There's no maximum length, as long as you post the complete story on your assigned posting day.

It's after March 15. Can I still claim a prompt?

If there are available posting dates on the calendar, you can still claim a prompt; you'll just have less time to write. We won't be adding additional dates or taking more sign-ups for full dates after March 15.

ETA: We're now out of posting dates, and not taking any further sign-ups.
