Ah! What a beautiful story. I loved how Ben was all scared to tell the truth only to realize he didn't need to. And I loved how accepting Ray was. A true friend/lover indeed.

Oh wow, this is exactly what I was hoping for when I saw this prompt... beautifully written. I loved reading about Fraser's childhood, and his trying to deal with his changing body as a teenager. I felt bad for him, but glad that he had a doctor who understood and helped him. And the fact that Ray figured it out, but didn't care and loved Fraser for who he is. And oh god, when Fraser's touching Ray's cock and wishing so desperately that he could do the same to himself? Broke my heart a little. :( But so perfect...

Thanks! Ray's reaction was something I played around with a bit-- I'm glad you like how it turned out!

I was so fucking pleased when I saw somebody had snapped up this prompt. Fraser is absolutely the king of layers--more mental than physical, really (witness his mastery of the stealth insult, his completely blatant passive-aggressive wheedling of favors, his combination of deliberate obtuseness and razor-sharp intellect) but they combine with this in a way that makes so much sense. Whereas Ray's more like a Rubik's cube: it's all on the surface if you know where to look, but it's complicated as hell to work out how it all fits together. Ray is all kinds of queer and you, you got that.

Also, it's Due South fic. Tough to go wrong there.

. . . Fraser is absolutely the king of layers--more mental than physical, really (witness his mastery of the stealth insult, his completely blatant passive-aggressive wheedling of favors, his combination of deliberate obtuseness and razor-sharp intellect). . .

That's kind of what I thought when I read the prompt. Fraser's a complicated guy, and thinking about gender as being one of his complications was interesting. I'm glad you like!
