I'll have to file the info away on the rest stop if I'm ever driving between Raleigh and Atlanta. Good fast food restaurants (read that clean restrooms) and cheaper gas are always welcome.
I went over to the dark side and ordered an Apple iTouch as an early Valentine's Day/birthday present to myself. I can't wait to get it. I had to order it because there was not one in the city of Greenville, NC. Circuit City was mobbed and out of them and Best Buy and Target both were also sold out so I had to order one on line. I did manage to save $25 though.
BTW, whenever I can't stay with my brother and want to spend the night in Raleigh, I generally stay at the Sleep Inn at the Beltline and Captiol Blvd. Good central location, it's relatively cheap, has pastries and cereal for breakfast and lots of hot coffee/tea in the room in addition to the in room internet.
I definitely recommend that as a place to relax in the middle of a long drive. For me, the I-85 Corridor in SC is the worst part of the trip; this is a good place to either rest after you've finished or rest up before you start.
I've kind of gotten hooked on staying at the Courtyard at Wake Forest and the Beltline. It's a little more expensive but I've found it's worth it, especially for the BIG breakfast that's available in the mornings. (Not free, but not badly priced.)
Part of the reason I'm hooked is because I lived less than a mile away when I was living in Raleigh. So I know the area very, very well. It's nice to know exactly where to go if I want to find a place to eat or some entertainment.
