Endeavor Onward

A little bit ago (11:15 or thereabouts, Arizona time) the Shuttle Endeavour flew over Tucson, on her way to her new home on the ground. The flight path was arranged to honor Gabby Giffords and Mark Kelly (Kelly was her last pilot). The poem is lovely, and the picture made me tear up. She's magnificent, isn't she? The last of one thing. And hopefully there will be the beginning of something new.

Thank you. She really is magnificent, and I am in fact still choked up and teary. I'm so glad I didn't miss seeing her.

The last of one thing - that's a beautiful way to put it. And the fact that SpaceX's Dragon is a new thing in the world does make it easier to deal with the ending of this one.
