Thank you *g* I use Corel Painter, since it lets me adapt my traditional techniques, but I tweaked the colour settings in an old version of Photoshop. Painter might let me do the same thing, but I haven't quite figured out how to, yet.

OMG, I am so in love with this it isn't even funny.

The costumes are killer, the details amazing, but Rodney and John's expressions totally make this piece *sing*.

I was mostly finished before I realised that this the second time I've painted oblivious-gesturing!Rodney while John looks on. (uhuh looks like I have a Thing *g*)

The reference pics were more casual - more Ranting!Rodney with Interested&Vaguely-amused!John, but expressions just change on me while I'm painting and this one turned more serious.

Thank you! He turned more serious on me as I was painting. I think he is experiencing a little culture shock after just getting back from the War (or well, that's my version *g*).

I really love my tablet. I wanted one for ages, and I'm having so much fun with the digital art. (It isn't the expensive Wacom Intuous, either,- just the standard model)
