For the Halfamoon awesome women challenge. Fang, Vanille and Lightning from Final Fantasy 13. G and PG rated - work safe. The characters and their various relationships were my favourite aspect of FF13, and these 3 women were indeed awesome.

Your art is really amazing. The blue/purple palette you used in the first one is beautiful and I love the details on the girls' clothes and jewelry ♥

Hey, Thanks! I've been trying to expand my use of colour, and I really like the way the first one turned out.

The characters from the Final Fantasy games all have costumes with lots of fiddly little details - pretty, but a bit challenging to draw *g*

Oooh-- I think I may have commented on the Fang/Lightning painting elsewhere, but the Fang/Vanille artwork is just as gorgeous. As well, it fills a serious gap in the story for me -- I wish we had seen them mourning their destroyed city in the game, and it's nice to think that they took a moment like this one. I love the expressions in these, particularly Fang's. Beautiful work.

SO PRETTY. I think I've seen these both on DevArt, but I'm going to say it again. These are perfect, and I love that the second one is like an entire fluff drabble all right there. And in both of them, the mooed and the lines and the colors are all gorgeous. And something about the muscle and the strength and the detail of the legs and the feet in the second one is just amazing, and the facial expressions, and - yeah.

I love the first one too, but for some reason the latter is what's starting the instinct to flail.

*g* Thanks for commenting over here. I love paintings that tell part of a story and the second painting is trying to do a bit of that (I can't write, but I love storytelling *g*). Plus, the thought of Fang and Lightning sparring (and Fang being deliberately annoying and flirty, and trying to get a reaction from Lightning) amused me so much.

I think if I could magically add any scene to the game, it would be exactly that, the sparring. Funny, cute, perfectly in-character; it's a tragedy we didn't see it.
