Occassionally I have several ideas based on the one painting, and I end up doing several versions. This is a (massive) repaint of the art I did for the 2009 SPNJ2 Bigbang for strangeandcharm 's Dean/Castiel story "Three's A Crowd" . The original painting is here - NSFW Dean/Cas . Wow, absolutely gorgeous! I love the detail in Castiel's wings and Dean's feet and the background transition from Hell to Heaven :o)

Thanks *g* I had some fun with the wings - painting black wings against a dark background. It took a while to figure out how to manage that!

Wow, the light in this is amazing and as portraits, they're so true to form. They look so much like the characters/actors. I'm especially in love with how you did Castiel. I also really like the more classical style of angel and demon/heaven and hell blended with the modern, done in with a modern medium. This is beautiful.

Thank you! I love classical art styles and they certainly influenced this painting. I'm very happy with this portrait of Cas - the likeness worked easily and just the way I wanted it (which doesn't happen often!)

I never cease to be awed by the sheer beauty of the details that you bring to your work. It is beyond amazing. It is awesome in the truest sense of the word. I could stare at your work all day.

Aww thank you! I love working with colours and I wanted to see if I could push the original painting a lot further (so I'm really happy with how it worked out)

I really like the subtle highlight of Dean's facial hair (and his likeness looks damn good to me :P). Gorgeous as always.

Thank you - A lot of my favourite characters rock the stubbly look, so I've learnt to paint it. *g* I think my issues with Dean in this are a combination of likeness AND expression not quite turning out how I wanted.
