Update and Original Art
It has been ages since I last updated. I've been dealing with a family medical crisis and have been too exhausted, both physically and mentally, to engage in my usual fannish stuff. Things are still ongoing, but settling down rather than lurching from one minor crisis to another, so I'm crawling out of lurker mode again.
FYI, behind the cut is an original painting I did a couple of months ago.
This was a exercise - no planning and no references allowed, just painting. I wanted to paint to switch my brain off for a while, but didn't have the energy to make any decisions (even paint related ones) so I started with a couple of splotches of yellow and purple, and this is where I ended up. Not surprising, a bit melancholy in theme, and fantasy.
It is almost yuletart time of year again, and I want to do the challenge. Hopefully I can getting back into the mood for fanart, and back to painting in the next couple of months.
