Dear Artist Letter for Yuletart
Yuletart is a multifandom art exchange. I've mixed my requested fandoms around this year, again.
My request is art from any of the following fandoms:
Dark Angel, Doctor Who, Final Fantasy (10, 12 or 13), Legend of the Seeker, Star Trek (DS9), Vorkosigan Series, White Collar
Dear anonymous artist, I hope you can find something you'd like to make art of among my requests. I'd love something with my favourite character, either alone or with others from the cast. If you have difficulties with that character, there are a few others I'd be very happy to see, instead, though I'd prefer the alternate options to be gen.
I'd like to see my favourite character being competent, or kickass or generally awesome. I wouldn't object to a little emotional or physical comfort. I like flirting, UST, and romantic relationships (slash, or het), or close friendship and familial relationships. I love straightforward portraits and - er - AU or canon events which include fancy costumes are like catnip to me. I wouldn't object to a crossover, either. Also I may tend towards realism in my own art, but I enjoy lots of different styles, so I hope you have fun and do whatever inspires you.
A few more fandom specific suggestions:
Dark Angel - I adore Alec, and would like to see his friendship with Max and with Joshua. A little emotional comfort, perhaps? Alec/Logan or Alec/Max would be cool, or just Alec being sneaky, clever or in action. Alternatively a portrait of Logan, or Max or Logan/Max.
Doctor Who - I've fallen for Rory, and the Boy Who Waited, plus Roman!Rory hits all kinds of costume kinks *g* I love the dynamic with Eleven, Amy and Rory all together in the Tardis, so perhaps the Doctor takes then somewhere interesting. Amy/Rory, Eleven/Rory or OT3 all gleefully accepted, or Amy and Eleven (and maybe River) getting up to mischief. I also loved the Ten & Donna friendship, if you would prefer them getting into mischief or being a little angsty instead
Final Fantasy X. Lulu, Auron & Tidus are my preferred party, and I got a lot of enjoyment out of them kicking ass and taking names. Any combination of the three being awesome, or maybe just a quiet conversation on the road.
Final Fantasy XII - I adore Balthier, so anything with him would be great, but sky-pirate shenanigans with Fran (or Balthier/Fran), Balthier/Basch friendship or slash, flirting with Ashe. Alternatively just Fran being cool and enigmatic, or deadly. The settings for FF12 were gorgeous, too, so anything set in any of the outdoor locations or the cities.
Final Fantasy XIII - Fang! Fang is hands-down my favourite from the game. Fang on Gran Pulse or in Oerba? Or perhaps Fang and Lightning being deadly together or learning to get along (I'm not into femslash, but if I was Fang/Lightning would be my OTP. That whole enemies-to-partners vibe), or Fang & Vanille together (something angsty, or sweet). Alternatively, I would be happy with something with Sazh and Vanille because I really loved their friendship.
Legend of the Seeker. It's such a pretty show! I like Richard, so Richard/Kahlan, or Richard and Cara or Zed, or Richard vs Darken Rahl is all good.
Star Trek DS9 - Bashir. I'd adore something from Our Man Bashir, the secret agent holodeck adventure. A sequel? (or anything involving Garak, Kira or Sisko as their counterparts in that episode.) Alternatively Bashir and Garak in general or G/B, or Bashir and O'Brien on one of their holodeck adventures (involving anyone else from the cast you care), or for something more serious, perhaps Garak back home on Cardassia, after the finale.
Vorkosigan Series. I love Ivan, and would enjoy seeing him involved (reluctantly) in more Miles related shenanigans, or Cordelia related ones. An illustration from the books would be awesome too, with or without Ivan involved. (I reread A Civil Campaign and Cetaganda most often, but like all of them).
White Collar. Peter is my favourite, and White Collar is my light and frothy show. I love that Peter is very clever, snarky and that Neil amuses him. Neil being flirty or friendly with Peter, or Peter/El, or OT3, or Peter reluctantly undercover, or having to partner up with Mozzie, or Peter and Diana (and/or Jones) being clever FBI agents. I also wouldn't object to Neil being flirty with June.
