I agree completely. I never really felt comfortable about talking about sex to my parents, and we did have sex ed in class, but it wasn't very informative. I ended up having sex like most teenagers, but I got pregnant at 17. When parents and teachers are more open and explain things better, including different forms of birth control and how to get them, its helps keep the teens safer. I know when my daughter turns into a young adult she will decide one day to have sex, whether or not I tell her not too. And I want to be the type of mother she can talk too, and learn about the different forms of birth control.
