Very good work on this chapter! I can see Jack having those reservations, based on his painful personal history, and I like the way you're not rushing Sam and Jack into the happy family mode -- in spite of the irresistible cuteness which is Jack doing the daddy schtick with 'Henry'!

The timing for you posting this was perfect and a little spooky. I had a lousy day at work yesterday (I work for the local government providing public services). I kept getting calls about lousy parents who were neglecting their kids and it was starting to make me seriously cranky.

As it turns out, the perfect antidote was to picture what Sam would be like as an unexpected mom. The warm fuzzies were hugely appreciated, as was the fact that this was the chapter where Jack got over his mental funk. ;)

Neglectful parents make me cranky too >=( So I'm glad you liked this chapter! If only all parents were as loving as Jack and Sam would be ^^;

Thankfully, the next chapter is full of warm and fuzzies too - and it's been a breeze so far! Hopefully I'll post it within a week =)
