Pink opens the door to his room, concentrating on taking enough breaths to be alive. He pats at his pocket, reassured that his gift was there still, and looks up. He spots Lex, and he wraps his arms around himself, watching with a bit of a pained look.)

He pulls the gift out of his pocket-- a box of cigarettes-- and offers it to Lex. His expression is full of guilt and sadness, and there's even a bit of franticness behind that. If Lex doesn't forgive him, Pink didn't know what he'd do.
... Well, that was a lie. He did know. And it wouldn't please Lex or B.)

But he cant really take it back, nor can he apologize- not yet, anyway. So as L shakily holds out a pack of cigerattes- a peace offering- he feels a spark of relief. However, the bitterness makes him not take them; It was several long, tense moments before he slowly reached out to take the pack, fingers brushing against L's hand as he pulls it back and examines it.
Oh the sweet irony.
