Data wore his costume outside the holodeck in those episodes. It was a real costume. He was cosplaying. I always loved the fact that several members of the Enterprise crew owned and wore costumes. :-)

Eh, it's just semantics anyway. To me it's not cosplaying when you're actually going into the roll in its correct context, like for the holodeck or a show or play. Doesn't make it less awesome, just cosplaying isn't the word for it in my head.

2. I am not going next year, next year sounds like an epic disaster waiting to happen. Maybe the year after that.
