I haven't read the short story though! The movie is all I have, and it's beautiful.

I don't know that he didn't intend it, he wrote a lot of good bromance in the 70's-80's, don't know later, but woah, King is also a master of bromance. And you don't even wish for more!

This is a short novella, about 100 pages, that was published together with "The Body" (Stand By Me) and other two with not-so-nice stories, as far as I have read in their summaries. I think the movie is more dramatic and touching, as no one dies or commits suicide in the book. Plus, reunion scene!!

Red/Andy forever!!! I've always wished that someone would ask for Red/Andy for the Yuletide annual fest of unusual or little known fandoms.

And yes, the final scene in the film is so sweet! :3
