Sounds like Telecheck has some sort of major software bug but the fact that they know about and haven't done anything about it sucks. They shouldn't just tell people 'this happens.' They should be trying to fix the problem. It's so maddening when these companies cut off your access to your money.

Unfortunately, it's probably a case of the lazy IT guys who don't want to bother supporting the programs they've set up. I've seen too much of that. I'm sure you've seen more.

I hate the whole "you have to use some plastic" thinking going on. I'll use checks anywhere I can. And with the whole "we're going to limit your debit card use" crap, it's even more hypocritical. They want everyone to be stuck with credit cards so they can make up all kinds of fees to hammer you with, let alone the interest they get if you don't pay the whole thing every month. That's what they're really aiming for. In the future, everything's going to be read off of our fingerprint and retinal scanners and they'll add interest every time we don't pay 2 seconds after scanning.

Have you seen the movie trailer for "In Time" (I think that's the name of it)? You live 25 years, but you have to give up some of your time to get anything.
