I completely forgot to mention that for my birthday Dylan's mom bought me a Brother CE4000 sewing machine! I have not been able to get out to the fabric store to pick up supplies for any projects yet. Who knows how badly I will mess up my first few projects I attempt to do on my own. The thought crossed my mind about asking at one point actually. Unfortunately the drive across town for Dylan to get to work is pretty crazy from here. We have been looking to buy something around Gahanna/Reynoldsburg/Blacklick (anything close to Broad).

I thought someone was renting your house up here already? Did that fall through?

Do you need someone to watch them in Columbus, or in NY/NJ? My sister might be available then, I think that's the latter half of finals week (hers end on Mon) and I don't think she will have started her summer job yet.

I'm primarily looking for someone in Columbus. We are still trying to figure out an economical way we can take them with us, but it does not look very promising.

I might give you a call this week for her number when we have a better idea of what is going on.

Are you flying there or driving?

Oh, I got confirmation from Amy about Thurs... I said you're more of a noon person, and so she said she'll come by around noon too. Does that work for you?

We are not fully certain yet. We want to fly because Dylan has airmiles to use. Though apparently you can not have lap passengers (and Layne is just past the two year cut off) with airmile tickets. So if we took them we would need to pay for two tickets (two free with the airmiles), then rent a car since a taxi is not really functional with two in carseats. We would also still have to find childcare because the kids would likely not hold up well at the late reception. We could just go back to the hotel after the wedding, but this will be only the second time Dylan has seen his sister in around 15 years. I'd like to drive, but my car is not trust worthy and Dylan's is too close to the lease mileage allowance. Man was that a long reply to a simple question. lol ( ... )

Hi--If you do end up trying craiglist, remember you can get multiple references for each person and call each one. Also you should use the babysitter a time or two before your trip so the kids know her before you leave.

*sigh* It's so hard to leave the babies! I hope you find a way to take at least Mila with you. It would surprise me very much if you really couldn't take a lap baby with you on a free ticket. If I were you I would check into that further.

Yeah, that is very true. It would be really nice if I could find someone who is close to both my mom and Dylan's mom so they do not have to travel far to get the kids.

I can't remember which airline the miles are through now, but it said very clearly on the website that no lap passengers are allowed with airmile tickets. :( I still do need to call and verify though.
