I would add one thing to this.

Hillary Clinton and other Democrats have been talking about "90% of guns in Mexico coming from America" for a few years now.

Certainly the administration is involved and should be destroyed by a scandal of this magnitude. But I believe this goes beyond this administration. Foreign support and apparent cooperation. A scandal this big through so many levels. This is George Soros and his Open Society Institute. This is part of an international movement. Obama just happens to be entirely on board for the "Post-American world" they are creating with this scheme.

It should be unbelievable that this isn't THE news story. This is a Pulitzer for the journalist who can crack it to the top.

No, this is a quiet assassination for the journalist who can crack it to the top.

Excellent couple of posts L.H. I hope you don't mind but I linked to them over on HillBuzz in today's open thread. It'll have to wait for moderator approval over there to get posted though.

Hillbuzz open thread for today: http://hillbuzz.org/2011/06/20/monday-open-thread-june-20th-2011/#idc-container

Obama Nominated "Andy Traver" to the position yesterday.

A google search found an interesting summary of who Andy Traver is. Here's an excerpt from this opinion piece:

Traver has been the rumored candidate for the Director of ATF from the moment that Obama was elected and now is the nominee in fact. He has been in bed with the anti-gun forces including the Joyce Foundation since the moment he became the Special Agent in Charge of the Chicago Field Division. As seen by the comments above, he is not widely respected by the ATF field who consider him a nice enough guy but marginal when he was in the field and even more marginal as a manager.

Yup... Chicago politics in the White House. Who'd have guessed?!? (tic)

Traver was the "Chicago boy" I was talking about. He'd been nominated by Obama before, but even the Senate Democrats weren't all that excited about him.

The Phoenix agents were rather more uncomplimentary about Traver. But he's virulently anti-gun rights, and that was the qualification Obama wanted.
