I haven't seen "The Dark Knight" yet, though I've seen a number of references to it being "a good conservative film" and one of my liberal friends here described it as "an abyss of moral depravity lacking either hero or savior". And many others of different viewpoints.
What intrigued me just now about one review was a curious disparity. The reviewer liked it -- but the headline writer apparently did not. And rewrote parts of the article itself, it seems. So, after the review wrote praise for the movie this way:Every punch, explosion and car chase confirms Batman's pulp roots, but the movie is composed of quiet moments and spiritual discourse. Sometimes it gets a little preachy and philosophical, but the ratio of well-placed narrative vs. overwrought narrative is greatly favorable over the 152 minute run time.
the headline writer attached this message:
'The Dark Knight' comes off too preachyThe author was surprised as well.
