SPOOOOOCK. YOU ARE SO... SPOCK. "Fascinating," like hell. Damn, logic has never been so sexy.

I simultaneously find this Kirk hot, and want to punch him in the face repeatedly. Is that weird? I hope he gets some sense knocked into him in Part Two, because the authority dynamic has so much sexy potential, but he needs to realize that he's being kind of a dick, AND REMEDY THAT.

...On that note, HOORAY, PART TWO! *hurries over to keep reading*

hm. I don't think it's weird, but I must say I'm really interested in what you think about the next part. It's okay if you want to punch him; I want to know about it, really. And if you have any I'm always open to con crit, esp. something dealing with issues that are important to me, like this.

I think in this first part Kirk is very arrogant and assuming, and a lot of his attitudes towards women are belittling or objectifying even when good-intentioned. In the second part, even when some of the things he says and does are still not quite on, you can tell he's at least honestly trying and understanding why his prior attitudes were problematic. I think the issues aren't resolved entirely, but they're certainly in the process of resolving. He seems to be working on his issues with privilege and gender, and that's a huge improvement over his initial characterization. I didn't want to punch him anymore, at any rate!

Ah, and that wasn't a criticism of your writing, just so you know - you chose to portray him one way and stuck with it, and he read as in character the whole time. His character developed and some of the flaws he started with were addressed as the fic progressed. It was nicely done.

that was a different theme and take on the idea of spock turning into a girl. very cool and hawt
