Apparently, I've committed fic? For Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows?

Everyone keeps saying how trite and sappy and lame the epilogue is. As I've mentioned, I find it CREEPY. Here is why.

ha, thanks. I can't decide whether I read too much into things or whether JKR meant to leave all these awful parallels and premonitions in that final chapter.

Glad it worked for you. The epilogue immediately struck me this way and I was surprised to see that other people didn't see the same things as me.

Hey! You! Did you read DH? Thought you weren't so big on the books themselves...

I'm tickled you think that. I felt like I HAD to dump out all my thoughts on this, and also post this before someone else did, so it didn't get as much editing as it should. I see now quite a few things I wished I'd tinkered with, but if I'd've done that I probably never would've posted it.

Me! Hi! Yep, I bought book 7. I didn't want to miss out on all the fandom hoopla.

I found a whole truckload of creepifying things in DH. Thundering into first place, right ahead of Ginny's general lameness, is Harry wanting to help baby!Voldemort and Albus telling him not to.

I'm glad you sent this out unpolished, because your timing was perfect. Glad to see it's getting such a response.

There have always been many things that made me uncomfortable about HP. But I think what's caused such a resurgence of my interest in it these past 9 or so months is--it's those things that make me interested in this 'verse. They were very prevalent in DH. I want to write an essay about it. I'm glad you got the book ( ... )
