HP fic type thing, with spoilers

Apparently, I've committed fic? For Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows?

Everyone keeps saying how trite and sappy and lame the epilogue is. As I've mentioned, I find it CREEPY. Here is why.

Short, with focus on the epilogue. SPOILERS.

There have always been many things that made me uncomfortable about HP. But I think what's caused such a resurgence of my interest in it these past 9 or so months is--it's those things that make me interested in this 'verse. They were very prevalent in DH. I want to write an essay about it. I'm glad you got the book!

Was also disturbed by the thoughts on/treatment of the goblin subject.

I thought Ginny was lame, but didn't realize how much that disturbed me until a day or so later.

It's interesting that you mention the Voldemort!child and Harry being told not to help it, because I'm trying to write another fic right now that involves that, and just read that part, and was very disturbed by Dumbledore saying not to help it as well. When I first read it I was too busy being confused about the blood to figure anything else out (am still confused about the blood). I wish I'd picked up on that a little sooner, because I meant to suggest in the epilogue fic that Tom Riddle turning out the way he did was partly Dumbledore's fault--Dumbledore seemed to have already judged him at the orphanage in that scene in HBP, and for goodnessakes, the kid was ELEVEN. It upset me at the time.

I do wish it was cleaner, but I think the timing on this made the response really, really fun. Thanks for pimping it out so much.
