This continues to be excellent. I love how gradual a progression it's been from Margaret's resignation in the first chapter to her appreciation of her husband and her marriage here. Also, you write UST that I can believe, which is a very rare trick indeed.

How each chapter's tone collectively adds to the whole of this story - I CANNOT BEGIN TO EXPRESS THIS IN ACCURATELY.

The playfulness and underlying heat and passion - I AM IN AWE.

What the people above me said! This progression has been BREATHTAKING to read and witness. I think I was in about as much disbelief re: Margaret's behavior this chapter as poor Thornton.

Wow.

And yet somehow, I can see that side of her coming out and see herself letting her go under such circumstances. She's testing herself almost as much as she's testing him. Experimenting, and a bit dizzy, I think, at how much has changed in her so quickly. Like the rug's been pulled out beneath both of them.

LOVE IT.

Oh, that divine dancing & cravat tying scene between Margaret & John(as I see him in my mind's eye embodied by Richard Armitage), need to compose myself, too flustered to continue......

I feel like I'm repeating myself here but GUH. The intelligence, the conversations, the sexual tension are all just so perfect here.

I always did get the feeling that Margaret had a sense of humor with the people she loved who she thought would be fun to tease, so it was fun to see you bring out that side of her here. And sexy. Good lord, it's sexy.
