Seeing the update for this on my syndicated feed made me super happy. I loved watching Harry grapple with his threatening instability and his progress at regaining functionality. His struggles suggest that love and obsession are perhaps just healthy/unhealthy versions of the same thing.

As for Draco, oh, he is just so precious here. Flippant and rambly but so, so loyal and lovable.

Sorry you're having beta issues. D: I hope that clears up soon/stays cleared up.

I'm glad you like this.

Oh yeah, that's really what I'm going for.

I hope that clears up soon/stays cleared up.

I think it might be cleared up. It's not that I'm having a problem with anyone, it's just that no one has time! I've asked, well, four different people now!

Thanks so much.

Things that are true:

1. I barely read any fic these days.
2. I barely remember any of the fic I do read.
3. I try never to read WIPs, lest I get sucked into them and then they're never completed.
4. Yet, somehow, I started on this fic.
5. When I first read it, I really enjoyed it.
6. And then, while I've been waiting, I CAN'T STOP THINKING ABOUT IT. It crosses my mind almost every day!
7. Whenever I see your username on my flist, my stomach lurches, in anticipation that it might be more of this story.
8. Seriously, what the hell? What have you done to me?
9. It's the descriptions. And I don't even LIKE descriptions. I'm a dialogue whore all the way (and your dialogue is so so good, too). But it's the visual nature of the story that is getting to me. It's captivating.
10. I fucking love this story.

PS. I so hope we get to see what it's like when Harry releases the chest monster and fucks Draco!

Wow. This is a really awesome comment! Thank so much.

I'm sorry for the wait, and glad you're sticking with it.

Hahahaha. I don't really like descriptions either. I mean, I love it when other people do them, but I don't like to write them a lot of the time. I'm glad they work for you, though. I felt that certain images in Harry's head were important to the story.

Thanks again for your really amazing list. I'm glad this story preoccupies you--my favorite stories do that to me, and I can't tell you what it means that mine might do that to someone else.

And to think I almost missed this update!

This is such an gorgeous story. I love it that they both need to learn things, that one of them isn't all figured out and complacent while the the other struggles (Draco may pretend he is but we know better :)).

Great chapter, can't wait for more!

Darn, I never start WIP but your summary drew me in!

This is just brilliant! I've just realised that I have some of your earlier fics printed and read about a million times (Ain't no Friend and Now the Shining Sun is Up)but as I was new to fandom then I never realised they were written by the same person.

I love that I would not have guessed this was written by the same person - that is quite a talent to be able to change your voice so well.

I hope you continue to update this, I look forward to reading more.

Your icon made me dig out Deerskin and suddenly I see where you got inspiration for Draco in Ain't no friend of mine. I have been reading some of your latest post, mind if I befriend you? (I only use my journal for comments so no risk I'll blog up your f-list)

Thanks so much! I'm glad you tried it even though you don't go for WIPs. This is actually a finished fic, just being posted slowly because I am attempting to get it beta'ed.

I'm really glad you like my other H/D fic! I've never really been happy with Ain't No Friend of Mine, but it really does delight me that other people liked it. You are completely right that Deerskin was inspiration for the way Draco looked. I probably should've actually made him something scrappy and common, instead of elegant, but I just always wanted a dog like Ash.

I definitely can write in many styles. This does mean that I don't really have a style of my own, but I recently realized I'm actually really happy with that.

I'll definitely continue to update, just as soon as chapters get beta'ed. Also, please feel free to friend--I friended you back! Thanks again for reading.
