Well, I am being much more lazy today than I had initially planned. I need to get in the shower and go up to Franklin Saddlery and get my bit that I ordered for Ziggy before they put it on the shelf and sell it to somebody else! I also need a saddle cover because the one Darby gave me with the saddle doesn't fit that well, and it gets REALLY ( Read more... )

While I don't play Evercrack in any version, I dig the D&D and other stuff... and it's interesting that Tania doesn't seem to know/recognize/acknowledge that part of you...

Let's hear it for reality abandonment on occasion and to fellow high school 'losers'... although I don't think they were the ones missing out :)

Yeah, XIV... sorry, was in a hurry this morning, I'm a dolt. I'm doing my best to actually post again. Not let the horses TOTALLY take over my life. I need an icon with Ziggy and one with Trillian. (new kitty :) ) Need to start doing social things with people. ;) At least RenFest is coming up, we have to actually get together this year, damnit!!

As for Tania... she does know that I'm into the whole fantasy/comic book/whatever thing, she just doesn't get it. She always tells me she's too much of a "realist" to get into any sort of fantasy or science fiction. I think she just doesn't like it, and it doesn't have anything to do with how "rooted in reality" you are.

Shrug.. I don't think there's anything wrong with a little reality "escape" from time to time. It's good for you. And if I didn't let my imagination run wild from time to time, I'd go nuts.

And I have to admit, Evercrack is fun. My mother's DH dragged me into it, and I dig it. Though, I try to be disciplined about how much I play. =~_^=

Yeah, don't let the horses totally take over your life! I just got a coupon in the mail for buy one, get one free adult Renfest ticket for some of the earlier weekends, so we're tentatively looking at August 20 or 21... if that weekend might be free for you?

I think Tania has her own fantasy version of reality just like the rest of us... but I don't think she was exposed to as many different realities or possibilities to appreciate the fantasy/sci-fi that we do... not sure... agreed that people often make fun, belittle or try to ruin things they just don't get that other reasonable people happen to enjoy...

wow... too bad we don't have a time machine so we could take her back in time about 12 years so she could see all the "introverted socially inept losers" we used to hang out with because I seem to remember more than a few way off the hook party with just those kinds of people! Just a silly generalization.

I know what you mean about the Warped Tour. I've been on the fence for about a month now. Looks like I need to make up my mind in a couple days!
