decisions and money

So I am seriously considering transferring to UMBC. Not because I don't like Loyola, but for other reasons related to that idea. (-) = why I should leave, (+) = why I should stay (-)I hate money and the fact that Loyola takes all of mine (by mine I mean my parents and eventually mine, aka loans that I will have to pay ( Read more... )

Start by calling admissions at UMBC. Explain your situation, and see what they say. Find out if transferring is indeed a viable option for the fall. In the meantime decide whether you would be willing to lose the $600. Sometimes you have to do stuff like that. Think of it like this: if you pay the Loyola deposit and don't transfer, you're right on track. If you don't pay it and then don't (want to) transfer, you are screwed. If you don't pay it and do transfer, you will be saving so much money that the $600 will seem like a drop in the bucket. I don't know if this helps or not, just my thoughts. :)

I meant to add in... If you DO pay and DO transfer, the $600 will be a drop in the bucket, if you don't pay... well, you get the idea.
