Tension is great, and I don't really care what happens, but I just want Mike Schur to look me in the eyes and hold my hand and pat me on the head, and say Ben and Leslie's wikipedia pages will never say EX again.
This is what I love about this relationship and writers: they allow tension and problems to arise, but are also aware that Leslie and Ben are too committed to break up over something stupid. They know that, realistically, things can't be perfect, but also know that they're not dealing with some dumb teen relationship. Leslie and Ben are adults in an adult relationship.
Not sure what to think because if I'm reading this correctly, the real tension doesn't take place before the election - it's in response to the results of the election. I just hope we don't get another big cliffhanger that will be debated all summer.
A) Leslie loses and maybe Ben and Leslie have a big fight about their relationship causing the loss, although really that doesn't hold water as Leslie on her own and her opponent have caused a lot of damage to lead to a loss. I can't imagine Leslie would ever say something like if we never got together I would have won.
OR
B) Leslie wins and there's tension because Ben can't find a government job in Pawnee because there would be a lot of ethical conflicts between a citycouncilwoman and a city employee dating.
Just guessing. I hope there's not a cliffhanger about the status of their relationship. Their relationship is so much stronger now than in Li'l Sebastian, so whatever happens will be interesting to see.
