Asexuality isn't about romantic love at all-- it's about a disinterest in sex. So it's definitely possible to fall in love without inevitable sexy tiems. My cousin and his girlfriend were in that exact relationship until they broke up (he's asexual, she was not, and I guess after a while compromise/sacrifice stopped being a viable option for the two of them. they are still friends tho). The desire for companionship is there, just not the desire for sexual intimacy.

shipteasing leads to ratings, sadly so the on-again, off-again thing will NEVER ENDDDDD. not unless the series does.

Yeah, I've read a bit on asexuality just because there was a time where I thought I was maybe asexual (I don't really think this anymore). I imagine it's gotta be a pretty hard thing unless you fall for someone who also identifies as asexual because sex is such a big deal for so many people that I feel like it's gotta be a hard thing to come to a comfortable agreement ( ... )

He said the biggest issue he's had so far is that people see asexuality as a temporary state of mind, and that it's an affliction you eventually 'get over' because they can't really comprehend your lack of desire for sexual contact. It's not that sex doesn't feel good, the urge to have it simply isn't there. I get it on a lot of levels (lol pansexuality + distrust of me = BOO for me because I still they they are super hot but I cannot and will not have sex with them anymore this makes having boyfriends very difficult tl;dr I am crazy :< ), but it's still not something I completely comprehend. I like sex. I like what it does to a relationship on my end, personally, so I have a hard time imagining a relationship without sex (which is why I identify as gay even though I'm not-- it's just easier for me to weed out the dudes emotionally because there's a step there I can't take that I would very much LIKE TO TAKE). He's with a guy right now and they've been together about two years. The boyfriend isn't asexual but they're 'dealing with it ( ... )

It's actually one of the issues I have with Sheldon/Penny as a couple - I don't think his apparent asexuality is just going to go away. And I do think that a lot of other people mostly consider asexuality to be a "phase" (which is partly why I don't think I fit in the asexuality spectrum - I'm sort of a prude, but I definitely have desires. i might not be super comfortable with sex stuff, but i still have an interest in it... it just tends to be a more private interest.)

You aren't crazy! I definitely understand where you're coming from in your relationships with dudes. On the up side... at least you think ladies are pretty sweet too? But that's still suckish to be into dudes without the ability (not quite the right word, but all I can think of) to act on it in sexytimes. <333 ( ... )

I used to love BBT

Then I realized how terribly sexist it is, and I just can't unsee it.

Also, I dislike the turn for the "LOL Sex jokes" it took.

I kinda shipped Shenny too, but then the fans freaked me out. So did the fanfics. And the pregnancy fanarts.

This has been Julieta's take on BBT.

Oh yeah, it's sexist as fuck. I think it might be doing a little better this season because at least they're rounding out the cast with other ladies aside from Penny and that's nice, but it's still pretty bad ( ... )

I'm kind of ashamed it took me so long to realize that all women (seasons 1-3) in the show were either dumb or hos (or dumb hos). And the one dignified female character gets ridiculized upon her second appearance (Leonard's mom)... so there... then I realized the only reason these guys were considered as "losers" was because they didn't adjust to the MALE stereotype... so... ugh.
I mean, if people like it, that's ok... I just can't enjoy it anymore.

a shipping comm with over 3000 members sounds like a terrible place.
it's the unhappiest place on earth.

Lol pregnancy fanarts.
They all featured them being cuddly and lovely. Which I find extremly OOC. And that annoys me.

I got to watch the unaired/rejected BBT original pilot. It featured a Sheldon who was into girls. He seemed like a weird pervert. Asexual Sheldon is a lot more likeable.
