I think that Katherine Gibbs School is a chain school so there are probably locations outside of New York as well. Basically going into computers or zoology, you need math. The whole thing about a university is that you are going to learn a bunch of things, not just one thing. With an associate's degree, you are probably mostly going to be focused on one thing. Chances are that you are not a resident of the state of New York. When I moved to Colorado, I had to live here for a year before I was considered a resident. To prove my residency, I had to have my driver's license and car tags switched to Colorado. I also had to get a note from my landlord or copies of essential bills like electricity. Getting in-state tuition was contingent on me giving them my tax forms to show them that I made money in Colorado and nowhere else. A lot of people take their schooling slow, and they work while going to school. Besides normal scholarships, there are need based scholarships like the Pell Grant, and work study. well in order to become a considered a "legal resident" in this state you must have lived here for six months... and if new york is like here you'd have to go apply for a state id.. live somewhere and sit out 6 months

You are very welcome and good luck in whatever you decide. It's tough deciding something that is going to affect your entire life, but, everyone has to do it sometime and after you've decided life is a lot easier :o)
